Teching and luthiering electric & acoustic guitars and basses 40+ years. A hopefully obsessed lover of music, guitar, and art all of my life. I love to watch people learn their craft, and I am always happy to be part of their time of development. I have spent time one-one as well as in a classroon situation, from ages 6-65. I perform onstage with the same passion, and I use that passion at my workbench. Why go to a music store and by a cookie-cutter guitar? Let's use those classic shapes and I will build you one from your imagination.
I do modifications, Floyd Rose Trem set ups, repair broken head stocks, cracked acoustic bodies, refretting, replace binding, finishing, all hardware replacement, set ups include:
new strings, fret cleaning, polishing, light oil treatment of rosewood or ebony fingerboard. Great care is taken to make your guitar play, look and sound it's best. I am a total fanatic about my collection of guitars, when it comes to their care, sound, playablity, and overall health. I can show you how easy it is to care for your guitar the same way...while I set it up to your exact specifications. I check all electronics during each set up. If any parts need replacing I disguss them with you prior to their repair. My onstage passion when playing the music you love is an extension of what the guitar is about to me.....I get to forget all about 1/8 note triplets, .009 strings, and what kind of pickup to use, and just play!
My influences include:
As a child, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans opened my eyes and ears to guitar and vocal on their TV show, then came Les Paul and Mary Ford, followed by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, the The Beatles, the British Invasion, which threw me back to the early Blues artists. Through the Latter 60s, 70s 80s and 90s bands like ZZTOP, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Mountain, and Robin Trower, just to name a few made my ears love the sounds of both Gibson and Fender guitars. I have never had a preference of one over the other.
Music is the ultimate universal language. Speak it through your heart.
